We know that Miss Pot Plant knows her stuff, and we know she is sassy. But who is this mysterious plant lover? Does she lurk indoors alone, or is there a co-conspirator? We reveal all.
A little bit about us
Firstly, let me just say thankyou for visting our blog. We hope you find this website both incredibly useful for your plant adventures, and perhaps a little fun as well.
Let me introduce myself – My name is Georgia, I’m 26 years old and I am a plant addict. There, I’ve said it. It felt good.
In all seriousness, I’ve had a huge crush on plants since as long as I could remember, and being a chronic Gen Y renter (feels) – I’ve had to live out my green urges without digging up my landlords yard – thus my obsession with pot plants. I’ve spent countless hours buying, killing, and desperately trying to revive many an innocent plant baby, and have learnt a thing or two along the way.
I also became frustrated that much of the information online regarding indoor plants was either dry as a piece of jerky in the nullabour, or aimed at our North American friends – which while not altogether bad, doesn’t reflect Australian conditions, plant availability and most importantly humour.
Enter to the stage my partner Nathan – a know it all “doctor” who thinks in hypotheses and algorithms rather than normal human thoughts. You can see his smug smile to the right there. In all fairness, he was the one to suggest (after noting with some concern the level of my enthusiasm and dedication to growing plants) that I find a productive outlet and share my learning and thoughts online.
Not wanting to argue the regression line coefficents for whether this was a good idea or not, I agreed. And I actually really love it, but don’t tell him that.
Science meets experience meets fun – the Miss Pot Plant ethos. We’ve built this blog to provide information which will help you succeed in your plant quests, but with a few caveats. We wanted the information to reflect a balance of personal experience, quality research and verification, practicality – and most importantly, fun.
We hope you like our articles and get good use from them. If you do, we’d be ever grateful if you’d share our posts on your own websites or on social media and spread the love around.

A little bit of sass
A whole lot of plant love
The OG Miss Pot Plant. Don’t let the fake tan fool you. I spend most of my time with my plant friends indoors.
I also let this one post. He likes to “fact check” my work. Boring.
“The secret of improved plant breeding, apart from scientific knowledge, is love.”
